Alina Behning was born in Hamburg / Germany and gained her first musical experiences as a member of the Children`s Choir of the Hamburg State Opera. She holds a Bachelor degree from HfMT Hamburg and a Master's degree of Opera from hmt Rostock, where she had studied with Fionnuala Mc Carthy.
Solo engagements have taken her to the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin, Volkstheater Rostock, Opera Stabile / Staatsoper Hamburg, Laeiszhalle Hamburg and Teatro Savoia Campobasso.
As a soloist she performed with orchestras like Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin, Philamonic Chamberorchestra Wernigerode, Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic, Hamburger Camerata or Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock. Besides she took part in concerts in festivals like Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Alpenklassik and BACHFEST Rostock. Currently she is working as a freelance artist in the fields of concert and opera.
A powerful, warm voice and intensity in the presentation distinguish the young singer, who feels particularly at home in the romantic and late
romantic repertoire. She has a special interest in the music of Johannes Brahms, with which she has already dealt in various concert programs and studies. In addition to her work as a singer, she is also engaged in cultural management and pursues this interest in various activities in Germany and abroad.
Most recently she appeared on the Goetheanum Stage Switzerland in Richard Wagner's "Parsifal" as 2. Knappe, 6. Flowergirl and Voice From Above, directed by Jasmin Solfaghari and conducted by Roland Fister, and will return in 2025. Other major roles include Anett in U. Zimmermann's "The White Rose" at the Theater Hof 2023, Mamma Lucia in "Cavelleria rusticana" at the Festival Opera al Laghetto 2022, as well as the role of the Widukind in the world premiere of the Opera "Widukind", she played Maddalena innVerdi's "Rigoletto" at the Teatro Savoia Campobasso in 2021. In 2020 she sung the 3. Lady in "Die Zauberflöte" at Chamberopera Hamburg and Bradamante in Alcina at the opera stabile of Hamburg Stateopera in 2017.
Alina Behning received scholarships from Richard-Wagner Verband Wiesbaden, Franz and Christel Kuhlmann Stiftung, Live Music Now Hamburg e.V. and Opera Life and was a finalist in the International Maritim Competition 2019, Prizewinner of Belcanto Price Wernigerode 2019.
Masterclasses and private studies with KS Brigitte Fassbaender, Siegfried Jerusalem, Jasmin Solfaghari, Roberto Servile, Bernarda Fink, Doreen Defeis and James Hooper, among others, gave her important impulses.
